Lake Erie Walleye with ODNR
Show Notes
This week on the podcast we change gears just a little bit and talk with Travis Hartman from the ODNR. He is the Lake Erie Program Administrator stationed at the Sandusky Fish Research Unit. He's responsible for managing the Fisheries Management and Research Program on Lake Erie. We had him on to discuss the status of the Lake Erie walleye fishery. We discuss how the resource is managed between all the states that border Lake Erie and he also explains what leads to a good hatch and why the walleye fishing is currently so good on the lake. He provides a great deal of information that is valuable to everyone from seasoned fishermen to people who don't spend much time on or around the water.
