A Four Year Drought
Show Notes
On this episode of the Nine Finger Chronicles, Dan is joined by Indiana native Derek Ruppel to talk about his four year bowhunting drought. Derek explains how a combination of bad timing, lack of mature deer, and a massive logging campaign on the farms that he hunted, led to him struggling to draw back on deer for four straight years. Eventually, he connected on a great deer on the last hour of the last day of the 2020 season. Be sure to listen to him talk about his frustrations and how he kept grinding even in the worst conditions.
